National Sports Awards 2020 | August 2020 Current Affairs
National Sports Awards are given every year with the purpose
to recognize and reward distinction in sports. The Government of India announced
the list of winners of the National Sports Awards 2020, August 2020 as per the commendation
of the Selection Committee headed by Justice (Retd.) Mukundakam Sharma (former
Judge of Supreme Court of India).
The Honourable President of India conferred the awards to
the awardees at an expressly organized function throughout virtual mode from
Rashtrapati Bhawan on 29th August, 2020.
RAJIV GANDHI KHEL RATNA AWARD
This award is given for the spectacular and most outstanding performance in a particular sports field by a sportsperson within a period of four years.
